Aquamarine is a light Blue semi-precious gemstone with a hexagonal crystal structure and a harness of 7 on the mohs scale. Aquamarine is known as the stone of serenity, peace and tranquility. It is the birthstone of March and can be used as a crystal or can be faceted and turned into jewelry.
